IN GENERAL DOG SIZE CLASSIFICATION
This crate fits dogs about 18″ to 20″ long that weigh 10 lbs or less. Small breeds like the Chihuahua, Maltese, Papillon, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, and Yorkshire Terrier will fit in this crate size.
This crate size is ideal for dogs about 24″ long that weigh between 10 to 25 lbs. Dog breeds that typically fall in this size and weight range include the Bichon Frise, Boston Terrier, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Dachshund, Jack Russell Terrier, Lhasa Apso, Miniature Poodle, Miniature Schnauzer, and Pug.
A medium crate is for dogs about 30″ long, weighing between 25 to 40 lbs. This dog crate is suitable for medium-sized breeds like the Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Shetland Sheepdog, Tibetan Terrier, and Welsh Corgi.

Fits our requirements
We needed a carrier! for our 12 yr old Sr kitty & a 6 wk old abandoned foster kitty. This will be perfect. We can easily fit either kitty into it for check ups & believe our pups 13 & 14 yr old chihuahuas will also fit if we need to do a check up with their vet. (One at a time, not together for either kittys or pups).
